Professor Derek Long is leader of the Strathclyde Planning Group, a world-recognised research group working in the area of intelligent autonomous control. Professor Long has been interested in space applications of planning for over 10 years. His main research interests lie in the development of temporal and metric planning algorithms and he has made significant contributions to the research community in these areas.
